Development History of Robot Sweeper:
From the advent of an automatic sweeper named "Trilobite" in 2002, the industry of sweeping robots has undergone 11 years of continuous upgrading and changes.
Electrolux Trilobite is the first automatic vacuum cleaner robot in the world. The second generation of Trilobites is one of the most expensive products on the market at present, with a price of more than 20,000 yuan. Its biggest selling point is the use of bionic technology, ultrasound, like bats flying in the dark, can quickly detect obstacles and bypass them. (Because of the high technology threshold and cost, only Taiwan Proscenic and Japan Sharp use the same technology.)
From 2002 to 2006, Irobot of the United States and Proscenic of Taiwan launched their respective products of different categories. Irobot is an expansion from machinery industry equipment manufacturing industry to intelligent cleaning industry. Proscenic is a product research and development background of Taiwan Institute of Industry and Research, focusing on the design and development of smart home cleaning. During this period, the main machine of the robot sweeper evolved from the traditional vacuum cleaner, mainly working in the way of vacuum suction. Cleaning walks are mainly collisional. Because of the technical bottleneck restriction and the low practicability of the product, it has not been accepted by the mass market.
Since 2007, more companies have gradually entered the market. More manpower and material resources have been invested, which has greatly promoted the progress of product technology and the upgrading of the whole industry. Products are also exposed to more ordinary consumption. So far, the first-line brand manufacturers in this industry are: Electrolux (Sweden), Irobot (United States), Proscenic (Taiwan), LG, Sharp, Toshiba and so on.
Considering the current domestic consumption level, it is suggested that consumers can choose Proscenic and Irobot with relatively higher cost performance. The two products in the Intelligent Application and Cleaning Department are the leading technology products in the industry.
In cleaning system, Irobot has been using the brush-to-clip cleaning mode, which is mainly aimed at the custom of European and American families laying the whole carpet. It has a good cleaning effect on carpets and large particulate matter, but it has a slightly worse dust treatment effect on wooden floor and tile smooth floor. In terms of price, Irobot's domestic sales price is much higher than that of the European, American and Japanese markets because of brand strategy. Consumers can choose to buy on behalf of overseas buyers.
Proscenic is designed for Oriental households, using a lifting V brush plus vacuum inhalation cleaning mode. The lifting V brush can better fit the ground, and has more obvious treatment effect for the dust adsorbed on the smooth ground by static electricity. Its latest 902 series model adopts modular system design, which has more advantages in intelligent application and after-sales maintenance of products.
It is worth mentioning that most brands of sweeping robots are manufactured by Shenzhen OEM, which is known as the world's factory. Irobot and Roscenic are manufactured by foreign enterprises in Shenzhen. Domestic manufacturers of Kosovos, Yijie, KV8, Format, Zhibao and other domestic brands are also concentrated in the Pearl River Delta region. The biggest difference between the first-line brand and the domestic machine lies in the different technical schemes it uses and the different nature of the production enterprises. Compared with the domestic factories, foreign enterprises have more advantages in the whole supply chain quality control system of components.
Most of the machines in China have done very well in appearance, but the cleaning system imitates the first-line manufacturers. In cleaning algorithm, it is also due to the limitations of core patented technology. Machine cleaning effect and intelligence are still quite different from the first-line brand. Irobot and Roscenic both have their own design patents for cleaning systems. In mature markets such as Europe and the United States, these imitation products are due to intellectual property protection on the one hand, and difficult to access due to the limitations of their technological level on the other.
Domestic sales of good single-suction, for the same type of machine factory, this machine mainly works in the vacuum suction mode, because it has only a small suction, less mid-sweep system costs reduced a lot. But the cleaning effect of the product is quite different from that of the machine with mid-sweep system. Intellectual property rights are infringed due to the absence of core patented technology. Such products have been unable to enter the peripheral markets of Europe, America and Japan.
Some consumers have seen the guide shopper demonstrating the cleaning ability of the robot in the shopping mall. Take the domestic model as an example, friends who have been to the shopping mall as a means of discovering the guide shopper's sales promotion (after the machine sweeps the floor, the guide shopper can't wipe out any traces of stolen goods with white paper towels). Is there really such a magical situation? In fact, the products developed by any company can not be achieved. Sales guide has his professional wiping method, consumers go to the mall to see is only the appearance, sweeping robots can really maintain the cleanliness of the home, can reduce the number of people cleaning, but should not be exaggerated or even deified.
Nowadays, sweeping robots have sprung up in the domestic market at the same speed. At first glance, they have similar appearance and functions, but there are so many styles and brands. As a consumer, how to choose a real practical sweeping robot?
1. Choose brand technology and brand with its own core technology.
2. Look at the functions and detailed design (automatic recharge, remote control, virtual wall, automatic cleaning schedules, multiple cleaning modes, these essential functions are mostly available, but there is a world-wide difference between domestic models and peripheral technology products)
3. look at the machine.
